The Indian government issues two types of India Visa. The India e-visa also called Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA), is a physical paper instead of a stamp on your passport issued only for 4 categories of Visa; Tourist, Business, Conference and Medical. You need this authorization paper during check-in or boarding of your flight to India and required to be shown at immigration point in India. Only British Passport Holders are eligible to apply for the e-visa who can only enter India through designated airports and ports. If your passport is issued in Isle of Mann or any other Channel Islands then you won’t be able to apply for the e-visa. The e-visa can be issued for 30 days up to 2 years with single or multiple entry depending on the category of Visa applied and is all done online along with uploading the relevant documents and Photo.
The e-visa application process is much faster and convenient if the information provided is correct and all the uploading documents are in proper format. For other categories of visa and for non-uk passport holders, you may instead have to apply for regular visa. In any case our India Visa Services can help you with either e-visa and regular visa based on your circumstances. GAN Visa provides
free consultation to check what type and category of Visa you can apply.
