India Business Visa
Business visa to India is required for travellers who want to visit India to perform business related activities such as exploring business opportunities, doing sales, marketing or establishing contacts on behalf of a company outside of India etc. However you should not be visiting India for the business of money lending or for running a petty business or petty trade or for full time employment in India, etc. Business visas is issued from one year up to 5 year with single or multiple entries with every trip not exceeding more then 180 days/6 months.Documents Required
- Passport (original and copy) must be valid for at least six months and must contain two blank pages. UK residence permit, if applicable.
- Two recent photographs taken against a white background (50mm*50mm)
- Visa application form, dully completed in all sections, dated and signed.
- Dully completed and signed 'Declaration form'.
- An original signed letter from the company in the UK and original signed letter of invitation from an Indian company addressed to the High Commission of India. Both letters must contain the below information:
- Letters need to be on the company’s headed paper
- Letters need to be signed by authorised signatory of the company, proxy signature are not acceptable
- Purpose of Visit
- Applicants Name
- Passport number
- Start & Expiry date of the passport
- Duration of stay in India (per trip -if applicable)
- Certificate of incorporation (proof that they are allowed to trade in India)'.

- No foreigner can visit or reside in any prohibited place, declared as such under the provisions of the Officials Secrets Act, 1923 without the permission of the civil authority having jurisdiction at such place.
- Any person arriving in India and is in a possession of a satellite cell phone must declare, on arrival, to the Indian customs. The satellite phones declared to the Indian customs will be allowed clearance only after the Department of Telecommunications, Government of India, issues a licence. Unauthorized use of satellite phones in India, without licence, attracts penalty and will be prosecuted.
- Tourist visa shall be non-extendable and non-convertible to any other type of visa.
