Russia Work Visa
A business visa is issued for travelers who visit Russia on official or private business. Business visas are the best option for visitors who do not know their exact itineraries, want to stay in Russia longer than 30 days or need to enter Russia on numerous occasions within a certain period of time. A business visa is also recommended for people taking special equipment into Russia or marketing materials for exhibitions and forums. In addition, GAN Visa recommend that all official speakers at any conferences obtain a business visa. Business visas to the Russian Federation may be issued with up to two entries and for up to 90 days. There are also multiple-entry business visas, valid for 6 or 12 months with unlimited entries/exits
Due to the strict cross checking and need of biometric data collected by the Russian embassy, It is now even more imperative that the Russia Business Visa application, supporting documents and payment be in complete conformance to consular requirements so as to avoid the potential rejection thereby avoiding subsequent visits, costs and inconvenience.
Visa Requirements
Documents Required
- Passport (original and copy) must contain at least 2 blank pages and be valid for at least 6 months after visa’s expiration date.
- One recent photograph taken against a white background.
- Visa application form, dully completed in all sections, dated and signed. Application form is in the download visa package.
- An original invitation issued by General Directorate for Migration for the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.
- Introductory letter must be original signed on the company headed letter , must provide the full details of the traveller, destinations, dates and purpose of the visit as well as stating the name of inviting organization, contact details of the responsible person in Russia and explaining who will take financial responsibility of the trip.
- For Self-employed, company directors, working from home or unemployed applicants: Latest 3 months bank statement which have a current balance of a minimum of £100 per day for the duration of the visit.
- HIV Test (AIDS) Certificate taken within the last three months. HIV Test (AIDS) Certificate should still be valid for 15-30 days on the day of your application.

- Biometric data is required for all Russian visa applications made in the UK. All visa applicants (except for children under 12 years) must go in person to the Russian visa application centre either in London, Manchester or Edinburgh. The procedure is quick and requires only one visit. GAN Visa will arrange this appointment as part of our Work Visa service.
- To enter the Russian Federation for tourist purposes you would need a tourist visa. A single/double entry tourist visa can be valid for up to 90 days and a multiple entry visa can be issued for up to 6 months.
