Angola Temporary Stay Visa
Thе Angola temporary stay visa must bе uѕеd within 60 dауѕ аftеr itѕ issuance аnd еnаblеѕ thе hоldеr to multiple еntriеѕ аnd ѕtау оf up tо 365 dауѕ аnd can bе ѕuссеѕѕivеlу еxtеndеd until thе еnd of thе reason that led tо itѕ iѕѕuаnсе. Thе tеmроrаrу ѕtау viѕа does not enable the hоldеr to ѕеttlе in thе соuntrу.
Documents Required
- Passport (original and copy) must be valid for at least six months, with two consecutive blank pages.
- UK residence permit (original and copy), if applicable.
- Two recent photographs (not older than 3 months) taken against a white background, photos must be taken without earrings, dreadlocks or Mohican hairstyles.
- Visa application form (original and copy), duly completed in all sections in capital letters or typed in black ink, dated and signed. Application form is in the download pack.
- International Certification of Vaccination (original and copy).
- Pre-booked return flight tickets (original and copy).
- Confirmed hotel reservation mentioning applicant name, travel dates and accommodation address (original and copy) or Letter of invitation. The letter of invitation must be in Portuguese language, it must contain the identification details of the inviting person, it must specify the travel purpose, it must assume responsibility for the stay and accommodation of the applicant in Angola and it must include full name, nationality, date of birth, place of birth, passport number, passport expiry date and occupation of the applicant. Please note that the letter of invitation must be properly signed and the signature must be recognised by a Public Notary in Angola. A letter of invitation sent by Angolan citizen must be accompanied by a copy of their Angolan ID card. A letter of invitation sent by foreign citizen must be accompanied by a copy of their resident card or a copy of the passport bio page and the page showing the visa to Angola.
- Medical Certificate must be issued recently by the applicant’s health care provider in which it is certified that the applicant doesn’t suffer from any infectious diseases. The certificate must be translated into Portuguese by and official translator, recognised by Public Notary and legalised by the FCO and by this Consulate General.
- Criminal record must be translated into Portuguese by and official translator, recognised by Public Notary and legalised by the FCO and by this Consulate General.
- Statement of Commitment to Abide by the Angolan Laws, with signature recognised by Public Notary and legalised by this Consulate General.
- Bank statement (original and copy) latest 6 months UK current account bank statement showing applicant’s name, address and an end balance needs to show a minimum amount of USD 200.00 a day of stay in Angola territory.
- Proof of an existing family or work relationship with a national citizen or company, with a foreign citizen who is a legal resident or with a foreign company legally established in the country.
- Letter from the applicant requesting the visa, addressed to the Consulate General of the Republic of Angolan in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, providing the reasons for, and stating the period of stay in national territory. The signature must be made in the presence of a consular employee and recognised in this Consulate General.

- A letter of invitation sent by foreign citizens must be accompanied by a copy of their resident card or a copy of the passport’s page showing their personal information and the page showing the visa to Angola.
- A letter of invitation sent by companies must be written on the company’s letterheaded paper and must be stamped
