Angola Study Visa For Minors
These visas аrе issued fоr a реriоd of uр tо one уеаr and mау bе еxtеndеd in-соuntrу оn an аnnuаl basis until the completion оf уоur ѕtudiеѕ. A ѕtudу реrmit holder iѕ nоt legally allowed tо соnduсt wоrk in Angоlа.
To study in Angоlа, the аррliсаnt must bе accepted by a school оr tеrtiаrу education provider in writing bу рrоviding a letter оf ассерtаnсе whiсh muѕt be оn the inѕtitutiоn’ѕ lеttеrhеаd and ѕignеd bу оr оn bеhаlf of the rеgiѕtrаr or рrinсiраl.
Documents Required
- Passport (original and copy) must be valid for at least six months, with two consecutive blank pages.
- UK residence permit (original and copy), if applicable.
- Three recent photographs (not older than 3 months) taken against a white background, photos must be taken without earrings, dreadlocks or Mohican hairstyles.
- Visa application form (original and copy), duly completed in all sections in capital letters or typed in black ink, dated and signed. Application form is in the download pack.
- Proof of enrolment or acceptance to study in an officially recognised educational institution in Angola.
- Student contract or internship program.
- Proof of means of subsistence.
- Criminal record must be translated into Portuguese by and official translator recognised by Public Notary and legalised by the FCO and by this Consulate General.
- Statement of Commitment to Abide by the Angolan Laws, with signature recognised by Public Notary and legalised by this Consulate General.
- Original signed letter from the applicant requesting the visa, addressed to the Consulate General of the Republic of Angola in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
- Birth certificate (original and copy).
- Parent’s passport copy (original and copy).
- If travelling with only one of the parents: Travel authorisation letter provided by the absent parent, with signature recognised by Public Notary. Angolan parent must sign in presence of the consular officer and the signature must be legalised by this Consulate General.
- If travelling without parents or legal guardian: Travel authorisation letter provided by parents, with signatures recognised by Public Notary. Angolan parent must sign in presence of the consular officer and the signature must be legalised by this Consulate General. Travel itinerary of the accompanying person and passport of the accompanying person. Please note that Foreign parents/ legal guardians must issue a travel authorisation letter in Portuguese or with a translation into Portuguese and the signature must be legalised public notary.

- The short-term business visa must be used within 72 hours from issue date.
- The letter of invitation must be properly signed and the signature must be recognised by a public notary in Angola.
- A letter of invitation sent by Angolan citizens must be accompanied by a copy of their Angolan id card.
- A letter of invitation sent by foreign citizens must be accompanied by a copy of their resident card or a copy of the passport’s page showing their personal information and the page showing the visa to Angola.
- A letter of invitation sent by companies must be written on the company’s letterheaded paper and must be stamped
